Missing teeth make it difficult to chew which leads to poor nutrition and they also can make a persons face droop and sag. Often, dentures are not much of an improvement. Ill-fitting dentures can cause sore spots, or flap around in your mouth.
So, is there a solution? In many cases, posts placed on 2 to 4 Implants in a patients lower jaw can support a denture; snapping it securely into place. The Implants fuse with the Lower Jaw Bone, one of the strongest in your body, creating a secure anchor to support the denture. No more sore spots, flapping denture, or sagging face!
In other cases, Dr. Fletcher will work closely with a local denture lab to fit a denture or partial to your mouth. We take several stages of impressions and preliminary try-ins to insure a good fit. You, the patient, are even able to approve the shape, size, and color of your new denture teeth before the final denture is made.
A good fitting, cosmetically pleasing denture or removable partial will make eating and talking a pleasant experience. Please come in and give Dr. Fletcher an opportunity to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your own specific needs.
